Drug charges result after ecstasy found in child’s meal

Dec 18, 2018 | Drug Offenses

A seemingly simple mishap can easily throw a person’s life out of balance. However, a simple mishap could actually be considered a serious violation under the law, especially if the situation involves drug-related activity. When a person faces drug charges, it is important that he or she understands that legal options are available.

It was recently reported that three individuals were taken into custody in Texas. According to reports, the individuals worked at a fast food restaurant, and an 11-year-old child found a pill in her 4-year-old brother’s food. The young girl reportedly asked her parents if the pill was candy, and the parents took the meal to the police station. Authorities tested the pill, and it allegedly tested positive as ecstasy.

Authorities presumably went to the fast food establishment, and they took three individuals into custody. Officers allegedly found three other pills in the clothing of a 30-year-old woman taken into custody. She is currently facing charges for possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance and endangering a child. A 35-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants, and it was unclear on what charges the third person was arrested.

Facing serious drug charges is certainly a serious matter. The woman charged in this case and the others will certainly want to take the time to review their defense options for addressing the allegations brought against them. In doing so, it may help them to gain information and assistance suited to their cases through Texas legal resources.
