“My Client is my Hero”
Once practicing law, Tommy found his passion for putting actual heart and soul into helping people who need it. This applies to both criminal defense and personal injury. Both of these practices involve the common person in a situation where they are powerless and need help. Tommy fights with experience, and heart, genuinely putting himself in the shoes of his client.
For his criminal accused clients, he has recognized their need for a voice. Tommy has achieved many, many dismissals, certainly more than he could count. Tommy has also been extremely successful in resolving charges without so that his client’s life is not effected into the future.
For his injury clients, Tommy has found it easy to put his heart into bringing a voice to the injured common person against major insurance companies. Tommy has genuinely felt a calling for helping people when injured, and making sure things are made right.
Tommy has recovered millions of dollars for his injury clients, including multiple six figure settlements, and numerous five-figure settlements. Tommy has also recovered an entire estate in a probate lawsuit where his client was excluded from his common-law wife’s will.
Tommy is trained by some of the finest lawyers in the history of United States Jurisprudence. This experience began by shadowing his parents, Judy and Ken Mingledorff throughout life assisting in numerous trials, and litigation of cases.
Tommy has also had the absolute privilege of shadowing and acting as right-hand man to famous trial lawyer Dick DeGuerin. Tommy and Dick became friend’s through the legal community and also the love for outdoors and dogs. In 2017 and 2018, Tommy assisted Dick DeGuerin in the criminal defense of the famous Robert Durst murder trial in Los Angeles. Tommy continue to act as assistant to Dick DeGuerin in various matters throughout the calendar year. Through this case Tommy spent months preparing, working, and learning with other renown trial lawyers such as Chip Lewis (Houston), David Chesnoff (Vegas), and Donald Re (Los Angeles). This experience and the relationships that come from it is not likely found at another law firm. The Robert Durst case has been continued due to COVID-19 and is expected to resume in April, 2021.
